The Government of Rajasthan has formed committees at the district and State levels that are taking various measures for curbing mining activity that might cause any damage in the Braj Area.
- The Government has closed all mining activities 500 m on either side of the Parikrama route.
- Mining in 17 mining leases has been stopped and the following main religious places have been made free from mining activities:

- A monitoring group has been constituted, with members also from the Braj Temples. The group have been given the task to continuously monitor the activities of this area and make sure that no prohibition is violated.
- Number of mining leases sanctioned during the year 1999-2003 are 110, and in the year 2004 (till June 04) only 10 leases were sanctioned. No new mining lease has been sanctioned since then by the present Government.
- State Government has decided to stop all mining activities and prematurely terminate the mining leases for which noticed under section 4 A of MMDR Act, has been issued.
