Once the royal residence of Emperor Akbar, the museum houses a rich
repository of the Mughal and Rajput armour and exquisite sculptures.
Akbar improved and extended the fortification of the city, and he
come to pay homage at the sacred shrine of Garib Nawaz. Its main
entrance faces Naya Bazar and is provided with balconies on both the
sides.
